About Me

I am a third year Ph.D Student at the Department of Linguistics at McGill. My research is focused on the syntax-semantics and syntax-discourse interface with a main interest in First, Bilingual and Second Language Acquisition. My current research project concerns the L2 acquisition of object movement in Dutch, focussing on near-native grammars (with Lydia White and Lisa Travis). With Michael Wagner I also work on the syntax of Only in Dutch/German.

I received my B.A.'s from Utrecht University (The Netherlands) and after graduating I gained more research experience at the McGill Infant Development Centre.

In my free time you can find me at my contemporary dance school or doing Acro Yoga. I also have a great passion for cooking and gardening.
